10,000 casts? It's only a myth, on this special day.

Special thanks to TNT – Cave Run Pro Shop Guides and Outfitters!  I first met Mike Tackett and the Campbell boys in February ’07 at the pro shop.  After hiring Mike as a guide and spending time in the classroom with him and CC sharing techniques and soaking in their Musky knowledge, I was on my journey of becoming a “Musky Hunter”.  Recalling the techniques, baits, and Musky tendencies, that the TNT guides provided, I was fortunate to boat one large Musky (46” length and 24” girth), landed a few smaller fish and had several follows.  Truly addicted to the sport and challenge, the 2007 fishing year was productive but mostly a learning experience.  We’ll the winter was long but finally over and I couldn’t wait to get back on the “Cave” and sharpen my musky hunting skills.  My first outing in 2008 was cold and raining and most fishermen I know wouldn’t have pulled their boat out of the garage on a day like this but I couldn’t resist my addiction.  No landings, strikes or follows but at least I was on the water and thankful to be throwing a musky lure.  The second day of fishing in 2008 was quite a different story.  Still using the techniques, baits, moon phases and approaches that Mike and his team taught, my fishing partner and I were able to catch and release 3 fish:  48”, 38” & 34” and lost one that was over 40”.  Not bad measurements for a second year Musky Hunter.  Do you want to know what baits we were using, where we were and the temperature of the water?  Just contact Mike Tackett and TNT Outfitters; they can answer all your questions for your trip of a lifetime.  I would like to publicly thank and recommend TNT Guide Service to anyone and everyone.  Whether for a one day guide service or 2-3 day Musky school, you will not be disappointed.  Mike and his staff will discuss all the necessary skills to assist in making you a successful Musky Hunter.  Don’t forget to sharpen your hooks.
