Fishing with a TNT guide for musky is an experience you won’t forget. If you are fishing a whole day, you will meet your guide early and be on the water at day break. If you are fishing a half day you will start early or after .
All of our TNT guides communicate with each other as well as with guides from other shops, to assure they know what the Musky are doing at all times.
Your guide will make sure you are fishing the right water, with the right lure and technique, to have an opportunity to catch a nice Musky.
Many clients ask us “what can I expect from a day Musky fishingâ€. This is a hard question to answer because a positive experience means different things to different people. If a great learning experience and a chance to catch a trophy of a lifetime meets your expectations then you will not be disappointed. If you feel you need to catch 4 or 5 Musky in a day then you will probably leave unfulfilled. Occasionally we have clients catch multiple fish in one day but it is not the norm. Musky are very elusive loaner type fish and catching a keeper size fish is a fabulous day of fishing. Many people are excited just to have a fish trail a bait without striking.
Your guide will do everything possible to make your experience enjoyable, exciting and productive. Your guide wants you to catch a nice fish as much as you do! Please ask questions! You will find this to be a great opportunity to learn about fishing for the elusive Musky.
Please try to plan for 2 or 3 days of fishing if possible. At times the Musky cooperate right away and other times they don’t. The more you fish for him the better the odds are that you will succeed. Relax, have a good time and enjoy the experience for what it is.

Some tips to make your experience enjoyable:

You can use tackle supplied by your guide or use your own. If you have never fished for Musky it is probably a good idea to let us supply the gear. The 2 to 5 oz baits you will use are quite large. If you use your own tackle, you will need a high capacity reel and a Musky rod of around 7ft rated for up to 50# test line. . We use the new super lines which are braided microfilament. 50# test line is the same diameter as 12# monofilament. You will need steel leaders of around 10â€.
Bring a small cooler if you like for your lunch and drinks.
